Provided by Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), one of Europe's Top universities and situated in one of Europe's most innovative regions [more], the Software Technology programme of the 3TU Federation provides an excellent means for accelerating a career in the design and development of software for high-tech software-intensive systems in an ever increasing competitive industry.

The Software Technology (ST) Program is a challenging post-M.Sc. training programme in advanced software engineering. As a participant you will focus on developing and strengthening your technical and non-technical competencies. These competencies and skills are related to the design and development of software for resource-constrained software-intensive high tech systems, such as real-time embedded or distributed systems.

Our PDEng degree programme will make individuals capable of working within a professional context. It advocates a scientific research based approach to solving problems, a systematic way of collecting evidence and a critical, reflective and independent mind for the analysis and interpretation of evidence.

Excellent jobs

After successfully completing all requirements, you are rewarded a PDEng degree. This diploma will enhance your career opportunities. Industry offers engineers from our program excellent jobs, because it is known that our graduates have gained superb qualities! Most graduates find jobs like software designer or software architect (including senior positions) and, in the long term, system architect.

Many of the alumni of our program are working as system/software architect or  (senior) software designer at (large) companies such as: Assembléon, ASML, Dutch National Aerospace Laboratories,  Ericsson, FEI Company, NXP Semiconductors, Océ Research & Development, Philips 3D Solutions, Philips Design, Philips Medical Systems, Philips Research Laboratories, Silicon Hive, Thales, TNO Defence, Security and Safety, TNO Information and Communication Technology, and Vodafone Group Research and Development. Other alumni are working for interim professional companies such as Atos Origin, LogicaCMG, Ordina, Sioux Embedded Systems, TASS Software Professionals, and Topic Embedded Systems. Some alumni are working for or even started their own small or medium-sized companies such as TeleIDEA, and Tiobe Software.
