TIXX Seminar by Mr. Frank Pijpers

In the context of our Thematic Industry eXperience eXchange (TIXX) series of excursions and seminars, on 30 November 2007,  Frank Pijpers, of Sioux Embedded Systems will provide a seminar on the  irrelevance of architecture and the role of a systems architect.

15:00-16:30 Frank Pijpers (Sioux Embedded Systems)
The Irrelevance of Architecture
The architecture of a software intensive system is largely irrelevant to its end users. Far more relevant to these stakeholders is the system’s behavior, exhibited by running code…Actually: As long as the system provides the right answers at the right time with all the right system qualities (Evolvability, Reliability etc.), end users couldn’t care less about what’s behind the curtain making things work. Is architecture irrelevant?
